Over the last seven years LEARN has developed a PD Model that assists our online teachers to better understand how teaching with a constructivist approach can assist their learners to become independent and active participants in relation to their own learning. This past year we added a new flair to the PD model – Online Badging. The purpose of the Badging was to provide recognition for training and professional learning that online teachers need to follow. The online Badging process allows educators to access PD as needed, at their own pace and around their own schedules. At the same time they receive recognition for their efforts. We have organized these badges based on the needs of the educator and the students they service.
